Özcan Yılmaz, who started his music education at a young age; He performed in different fields of music such as classical, jazz, flamenco and pop. Özcan, who came together with the leading names of the sector after his master’s education at Istanbul University State Conservatory, Violin Department; He collaborated with many artists from Erol Evgin to Fahir Atakoğlu, from Selda Bağcan to Cem Adrian.
Particularly, his compositional works took place in many movies and TV series while he was assisting Atilla Özdemiroğlu. He composed the music for the Mustafa Vehbi Koç documentary and Fenerbahçe 1907 documentary. He performed with the Andaluz Flamenco group and the Istanbul Flamenco 5 group. He presented popular music with classical instruments with the Brothers Trio, which he founded in 2016, and won the appreciation of the world-famous star Gloria Estefan with his interpretation of the song ‘Conga’.
Recently, he appeared in front of the audience with the “Day of Death” concert he prepared with Mert Fırat. Having the opportunity to work with stars such as Nükhet Duru and Timur Selçuk, Özcan recorded many albums with Osman İşmen.
He shared the stage with international names such as Buika, Il Divo and Paul Dwyer. The artist still continues to perform on the Erol Evgin stage. Özcan Yılmaz, an orchestra player at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, aims to bring a new perspective to instrumental music by transferring his experiences and knowledge in different fields to his compositions.
Özcan Yılmaz, who released his seven-track album “EGO” in 2023, also get the title of Recording Academy Voting Member in the same year.
